Nice, the fantastic city at the French Côte d’Azur, was the picturesque scenario for our first bone & tissue days in France on 15-16 September. The congress venue, the Palais de la Mediterranée, is one of the most outstanding buildings at the Promenade des Anglais, with direct views to the Mediterranean sea. Organized together with our colleagues from Straumann France, the congress agenda contained workshops during Friday and a very complete program of lectures about bone and tissue regeneration on Saturday…
During the first day of the congress, the participants could attend two workshops. At the first workshop, Dr. Sofia Aroca talked about periodontal regenerative therapies, and trained the participants on the treatment of single and multiple recessions. At the second workshop, Dr. Partick Bonnaud made a deep introduction about bone regeneration concepts and trained the participants in some of the discussed augmentation techniques.
At the second day of the congress the agenda contained lectures by 10 national and international speakers. An introduction to the botiss biomaterial world was made by Christiane Marinc, our head of product management. Christiane took advantage of the occasion to present the French translation of our indication matrix webpage to the audience. Then, Michel Dard, Sofia Aroca and Aurore Blanc gave the morning talks focused on Emdogain, soft tissue and periodontology-related topics. The lunch was held in a beautiful room with views to the sea next to the conference room. Then, the afternoon sessions focusing on different bone grafting materials and surgery techniques where held by Stephan Duffort, Georges Khoury, Daniel Rothamel, Bernhard Giesenhagen and Frank Rudolf Kloss.
After the intense and information-rich day, the participants and speakers could relax and enjoy a live jazz concert around a cocktail and a dinner right at the beach. The bravest even joined the dancefloor and had great fun!
