Last 24th of October, KLOCKNER Implant System, exclusive distributor of botiss biomaterials in Spain and Portugal, has organized the third edition of the well-established bone and tissue day at the stunning location of Colegio de Médicos in Madrid. The event gathered 600 clinicians, who joined a full day program of lectures and a practical workshop.
Dr. Manuel Maria Romero welcomed the participants and moderated the lectures held in the main amphitheater. Dr. Drazen Tadic opened the program presenting the current scientific evidence and R&D lines of botiss. Dr. Pablo Galindo subsequently presented a rational approach to the use of bone biomaterials in the different clinical situations requiring regeneration.
The program continued with Dr. Aritza Brizuela, who focused on the importance of determining whether the quality of regenerated bone around implants provides sufficient mechanical and biological stability. Dr. Pedro J. Lázaro ended the morning program with the current state of scientific evidence in the use of xenograft blocks and his clinical experience with them…
A theoretical and practical workshop “Hard and Soft Tissue grafting using Biomaterials” was led by Prof. Daniel Rothamel. Participants could practice techniques and test all botiss biomaterials on pig heads.
The event closed with an evening in the exclusive bar Ramses located at Puerta de Alcalá, an emblematic location in the center of the capital. Attendees enjoyed an exceptional cocktail party, and could meet the speakers and exchange their impressions of the day.
Once again, many clinicians choose the bone & tissue day as a benchmark event in Spain, where the latest techniques for bone and tissue regeneration were discussed. We are proud to know that clinicians are saving this particular date every year in order to share work and leisure with the KLOCKNER and botiss biomaterials family.
